100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 28

Day 28: Something you're afraid of
(w/ 6mo old Polie)

I’m not afraid of failure, actually, I’m soooo used to it already. I’m afraid of feeling that I’m a failure as a mother. I had to work ASAP after giving birth to Polie because we need all the financial backing I could get from my job. He was barely 2mos old when I decided to go back to work. He’s 1 yr and 8mos now and I still lack confidence if I’m being a good mom to him. Some days are really hard (like today); it’s frustrating and depressing to see that he’d rather be with his yaya than be with me. I don’t know but it was so much easier when I was younger (or maybe because I have no yaya that time to feel so insecure about). Baby steps, I know I’m getting there!

100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 27

This brother of mine used to be my mortal enemy when we were younger. Maybe because we can't keep our mouth shut or we're just plain crazy, I don't know, but we used to hate each other's guts. But I love him and I'm so proud of him.

100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 26

My Mom used to drive me nuts but it's okay because I have the coolest dad. We love to eat that's why we're all fat (except my youngest brother). We love music and a common staple in our Christmas tradition is our yearly videoke contest (crooning to the song Vincent of Don McLean).

We might be crazy sometimes but I love them all to bits.

A Quick Update: Photo Challenge Day 19-25

Just a quick update on my 100 day Photo Challenge (now, this is really turning into a challenge because I can’t find time to update my blog often). I hope to finish it before year end. Why do the 100 day challenge? I have no idea what has gotten into me when I started it. Here goes!

This is I think an epiphany that I can't really grow my hair loooonggg.
Which reminds me, I'm getting a haircut soon.

Day 19
A picture of you when you were little.

Well I think everybody does.

Day 20: Somewhere you'd love to travel
My dream destination: MALDIVES

And of course!

Not just Venice, I mean the entire country!

Something really terrible happened to me when I was a kid.
I tried to forget all about it but sadly I couldn't.

Day 21 - A picture of something you wish you could forget.

I'm an awful public speaker. And this is something I really WISH I'm good at.

Day 22 - A picture of something you wish you were better at.

I've read this a dozen times already. Still my favorite book to date!

Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book.

This is really hard. It's like a pageant question.
I wouldn't want to change anything about me, but I'm no beauty queen,
so I would like to be a happier person cause usually I'm not.

Day 24 - A picture of something you wish you could change.

This is my typical day when I'm not teaching or doing errands.
Still the best job in the world!

Day 25 - A picture of your day

A Quick Update: 100 Day Photo Challenge Day 8-18

the most messed up things with

Pet Peeve: Clutter

My all time favorite. And because I love Brandon Boyd too.

Day 13
A picture of your favorite band or artist

100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 7

Day 7: A picture of your most treasured item

Some of the most expensive things that I’ve bought with my own hard-earned money are books. Yep, not clothes, shoes, bags, cosmetics or gadgets. I used to spend a lot of money on books. So when Ondoy ruined almost half of my well-loved hardbounds, I was completely devastated. Okay, nuff said. My books are my most treasured possessions.

100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 6

Day 6
A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

I didn’t think it would be this hard. There are lots of people I’d love to trade places with. First of, Anne Sexton (when she was still alive), then there’s Yoko Ono (well because she’s John’s wife and I’m a Lennon fan). I narrowed it down to one based on my mood today. I would love to trade places with Kat Von D.

This is pretty obvious without explanation. So yeah, even if it’s just for a day.

100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 5

Day 5
A picture of your favorite memory

You’ve probably read this a dozen times now. I’ve said/blogged about this before and I’ll say/blog about it again. Tagaytay has always been my perk-me up place. Besides its alluring cold weather, it’s the nostalgic bearing with which brings back freeing memories. This photo was taken during Tatay’s birthday almost three years ago.

This was our first photo together. :)

100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 4

Day 4
A picture of your night

Exactly a year ago (the night of February 24th), I was all curled up and snugly next to hubby while watching the Uncanny X-men Animated series and have no idea what awaits us the following day. Little did we know that I was about to go into labor upon waking up. It’s my little boy’s birthday tomorrow! How fast time flies especially when you’re having fun! :)

100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 3 (Oh Dexter, How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count The Ways)

Day 03
A picture of the cast from your favorite show

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways

I love thee to the depth of sleepless nights
My eyes will puff just to have a glimpse of your sight
For the end of each season I longed for more
I love thee to the level of everyday’s chore

Most quiet need, by wine and cheese
I love thee freely, as you slice abductees
I love thee purely, as they turned into pieces
I love thee with a passion each day it increases

I love thee with a novel in hand
With my lost wits—I love thee with the book’s strand
With eyes closed tight I dream of you
I shall love thee better when the season is through

100 Day Photo Challenge: Day 1 & 2

I’ve been seeing this 60 day photo challenge in FB and since I want to encourage the camwhore/photo enthusiast in me, I’m giving it a go (so I could blog more too), but I’m going for the 100 day photo challenge. (Hahaha! it’s too much for the camwhore in me). I don’t want this to be routinary so I’m keeping it in random. I’m doing Day 1 & 2 today (I was supposed to start yesterday but got lazy) Here it goes. :)

Day 1
A picture of yourself with fifteen facts

15 Facts:
1) I love being alone.
2) I’m a sucker for white lilies.
3) I love wearing hats/bonnets.
4) My belly button piercing was a DIY.
5) I shaved my head once (well the barber did).
6) I have a high tolerance for pain.
7) I’m afraid of heights.
8) I love zombie flicks.
9) The movie; The Exorcism of Emily Rose scared the shit out of me for weeks!
10) I make mini sculptures from (my/our) used coffee cups,
paper cartons/towels when hanging out at a coffee shop.
11) I love facial hair on men, and glasses too!
12) I love listening to sad songs.
13) I love red high heels.
14) I can’t sleep alone.
15) I’m a big crybaby.

Day 2
A picture of you and the person
you have been close with for the longest

(Badminton Days, circa ’05) I’ve known Paula since yr ’03. Like my Mom, we used to have a love-hate relationship. We’re complete opposites and somehow managed to get along so well. She’s the queen bee of bargain hunting and the original cheapskate. ;)

Here’s the FB link to the 60 Day Photo Challenge. Try it! It seems fun! :)
